Rick Springfield was born on August 23, 1949 in Australia.  He was a member of an Australian rock band Zoot before moving to the United States.  He has some successes musically with top hits and receiving a Grammy.  He also acted on General Hospital, a soap opera.  Springfield played the role of popular doctor Noah Drake.

In May of 2011, Springfield was arrested for speeding on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California.  Springfield apparently did not realize that the standardized field tests are voluntary so he attempted to perform these tests alongside the busy highway.  Springfield also did not realize that speeding is not a NHTSA clue indicating a driver impaired by alcohol Springfield was eventually arrested for DUI.  Springfield entered a guilty plea to reckless driving.  Unfortunately Springfield missed some court dates and was eventually arrested.
